Suzanne Aubert

SUZANNE AUBERT

1835- She was born on june 19th 1835 and lived in france and had a catholic family. She was the founder of New Zealand's only religious order the sisters of compassion.

1860- When the young Suzanne Aubert
Left home in 1860 when BIshop
Pompallier invited her to a mission on the other side of the world she accepted it and went with him.

1883- IN 1883 by invitation of the maori from whanganui river area. Suzanne left Hawkes Bay for Jerusalem.

1907- Suzanne Aubert opened a lady’s home of compassion for children who were handicapped or born out of wedlock. She also opened an St Anthony kitchin and a day nursery to help  woman
Who needed to support themselves.

1910- Suzanne Aubert extended her work to Auckland.

1913- In 1913 she travelled to home and gained papel recognition of her order as well as jurisdiction over it as superior general. This allowed her to decide her orders own priorities.

1926 In 1926 Suzanne Aubert died on October 1st 1926 in wellington thousands of people went to her funeral.

Hi guys, my name is Nathan and I am 12 years old.
I am from Pompallier Catholic School.  My favorite subject is literacy. I enjoy the vocabulary and the R.E must do. I have a Brother Sister and a Mum and Dad. My hobbies are surfing and video games.
